Online Stock Trading

Posted on 07 November 2009 by admin (0)

StocksThe Internet has made stock trading a lot easier, by bridging the gap between market and investor. To be successful in online stock trading, you don’t need to know a lot of technical jargon about the stock market- but you do need a basic knowledge of how the markets work.

As great as the web is, it’s making some people wonder how much longer the NYSE can keep up. The NYSE only does a small amount of its business via the Internet, while NASDAQ deals only in online stock trading.  This market uses enormous computer networks to bring buyers and sellers together, eliminating the need for stockbrokers. The NASDAQ exchange is far less fast-paced and dramatic than the NYSE, but it’s more reliable, efficient and faster. It’s an ideal way for the individual to buy and sell stocks online.

However, you’ll still need a broker, because individuals don’t have full access to the electronic market. Your broker will get onto the exchange network, and find a buyer or a seller to meet your needs. Then, the broker will offer you advice as to whether or not you should buy or sell.
